- Selection to be held on 12 May at MMRT, Chennai.
- Entry fee of Rs 17,500.
- 12 finalists to use race-spec Apache RR 310
After announcing the Apache RR Cup at the launch of the Apache RR 310 last year, TVS has finally announced the date, criteria and details for the same.
The selection process will be held on 12 May at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai. Based on lap timings, 12 of the fastest riders will be selected as finalists. However, to participate, one needs to either be a National Championship rider with a podium finish or a One Make series rider with a podium finish.
A refundable deposit of Rs 5,000 has to be paid by participants in advance to cover damages to the bike if caused. If selected, riders need to pay an entry fee of Rs 17,500 for five rounds. The riders would also have to pay an advance of Rs 25,000 for motorcycle repair and maintenance work for a year.
As the name of the series suggests, participants would be riding a race-spec Apache RR 310. While the bike is yet to be revealed, it is expected to ditch the twin LED-projector headlamps and indicators and use a race fairing along with a performance exhaust. The 312cc, single-cylinder motor will also be more powerful than the road-going version which produces 34bhp and 27.3Nm of torque.
