- Spotted testing with winglets
- Likely to get the same power figures as the Apache RTR 310
- Could retain the design, hardware, and other updates
TVS is likely preparing for an update version of its existing flagship supersport motorcycle, the Apache RR 310. A test mule was recently spotted near the brand’s facility and it was equipped with winglets. Most likely ornamental, these appendages could be introduced as the next update. However, we also expect TVS to bump up the power figures for the RR 310 and match them to the Apache RTR 310’s output numbers.
For reference, the Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 34bhp and 27.3Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the Apache RTR 310 also gets a 312cc motor that belts out 35bhp at 9700rpm and 28.7Nm at 6650rpm. So, we expect the faired offering to now make more power.
Apart from that, the test mule spy shots indicate a very similar design to the current Apache RR 310. However, given the opportunity, it could also get some feature updates. TVS is likely to carry over the USD front forks, monoshock, and front and rear disc brake options.
With the new updates, we think the asking price for the TVS Apache RR 310 could be increased by a nominal margin. As of now, the bike retails at Rs. 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In terms of rivals, the Apache RR 310 locks horns with the KTM RC 390, Aprilia RS 457, and the Yamaha YZF R3.
