The TVS Apache RR 310 is going to be launched in India tomorrow. The company’s first fully-faired motorcycle, the Apache RR 310 is the production version of the Akula which bowled us over at the 2016 Auto Expo.
While the Akula was a carbon-fibre-clad track bike celebrating the company’s 33 years of motorsports legacy, spy shots show that the Apache RR 310 has been toned down on different levels to make it production feasible. The carbon fibre bodywork has been ditched along with the race-spec exhaust. The front gets a twin headlamp setup, and the slightly upright seating position and tall windshield should make it comfortable for touring. The tail section gains a pillion seat.
At the heart of the Apache RR 310 is a 310cc single-cylinder engine similar to the one used in the BMW G 310 R. The Apache RR 310 will compete against the KTM RC390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
