- Gets a new all-black paint scheme
- Features LED illumination, three ride modes, and more
- Powered by a 160cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine
TVS has launched the Apache RTR 160 in a new Black Edition variant. The bike features a brand-new paint scheme where the entire bodywork is painted, well, black. This gives the Apache RTR 160 a stealth appearance and highlights its sharp design even more.
Apart from the new paint scheme, the TVS Apache RTR 160 Black Edition looks identical to the standard bike in terms of design. It gets the same chiselled LED headlight with a muscular fuel tank, a single seat with contrasting red stitching, and a split seat.
Powering the all-new Apache Black Edition is the same 159.7cc single-cylinder engine. It makes 15.82bhp and 13.85Nm and is linked to a five-speed gearbox. The Apache RTR 160 2V features three ride modes – Rain, Urban and Sport – and TVS SmartXonnect with voice assist. Apart from that, the bike also comes with a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
It rides on conventional telescopic front forks and dual gas-charged rear shocks. The braking hardware is mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in a 90/90 front and 110/80-17 rear tyre. However, the rear disc brake model gets a 120/70 rear tyre. Moreover, the Bluetooth connectivity option is only available for the rear disc brake model on the standard bike. So, the Black edition too should follow suit.
The asking price for the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Black Edition is set at Rs. 1,20,420 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Hero Xtreme 160R, and the Pulsar N160 too.
