- Available in a single paint theme
- Gets additional equipment over the standard model
- India launch unlikely
TVS Motor Company has introduced several special edition models in the Colombian market. Previously, we brought you the details of the special edition Raider and Apache RTR 200 4V that are available in the South American country. Apart from the two models mentioned above, the Indian two-wheeler maker has now introduced a Golden Green colour variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V.
The Golden Green paint theme is visible on the front fender, headlight cowl, fuel tank, and engine cowl. Meanwhile, the rear panel gets a black finish. Then, this variant also benefits from additional equipment such as a windscreen, hand guards, and engine crash guards. Notably, other styling elements such as a single-pod headlight, muscular fuel tank, step-up seat, and pillion grabrail are identical to the standard motorcycle.
The mechanical specifications and hardware, too, remain unaltered. Thus, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Golden Green variant retains the 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine with a carburettor system. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor makes 16.2bhp at 8,000rpm and 14.8Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The hardware comprises telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, a 270mm single disc with a two-piston calliper at the front, and a 200mm single rotor with a single-piston calliper at the back.
Similar to the special edition Raider and Apache RTR 200 4V, this variant, too, is not likely to arrive in India.
