TVS is going to launch a new matte red paint scheme for the Apache RTR 160 and the RTR 180. This paint scheme is already available in the company’s flagship model – the Apache RTR 200 4V.
The new paint scheme will be launched to capitalise on the increase in demand for motorcycles during the festive season. The headlamp cowl, fuel tank, engine cowl, fender, and the tail panels are painted in matte red, which contrasts beautifully with the black frame, engine, exhaust and the wheels. A stripe running through the fender and the decals on the fuel tank give the paint scheme a racy appeal. The wheel also gets matte red rim tape.
There won’t be any mechanical changes. The Apache RTR 160 gets a 160cc single-cylinder engine delivering 15bhp and 13Nm of torque. The Apache RTR 180 on the other hand, gets a 177cc engine delivering 17.3bhp and 15.5Nm of torque. Both the motorcycles get a five-speed gearbox. We can expect the new paint scheme to be launched in the next few days.
