Pricing
TVS is offering the Apache RTR 160 BS6 in two variants- front disc and rear disc which are priced at Rs 93,500 and Rs 96,500 respectively. (both prices ex-showroom).
More powerful BS6 engine
While most transitions to BS6 norms resulted in a loss of power, TVS has managed to increase the output from the Apache’s 159cc engine. This single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor produces 15.3bhp and 13.9Nm; 0.3bhp and 0.9Nm more than the BS4 version.
New feature
The Apache RTR 160 BS6 now boasts of TVS’ GTT (Glide Through Technology) which was earlier available only on the sportier Apache RTR 200 4V and RTR 160 4V.
Refreshed graphics
TVS is offering the motorcycle in six paint options that include- gloss red, matte red, black, white, blue and grey. However, the Apache RTR 160 BS6 now sports new graphics that give it a sportier appeal.
Unchanged hardware
Besides the aforementioned changes, the TVS Apache RTR 160 remains the same. It continues with a conventionally-lit headlamp, semi-digital instrument cluster and LED tail light. The motorcycle also continues to offer a 16-litre fuel tank and ride on 17-inch wheels at both ends. Suspension duties on the Apache RTR 160 BS6 are taken care of by telescopic forks upfront and a mono-shock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is assisted by a single-channel ABS unit.
