The Apache RTR 160 draws power from a 159.7cc single-cylinder engine. It dishes out 15.82bhp and 13.85Nm and is linked to a five-speed gearbox. The Apache’s motor is quite smooth and peppy and you can ride the bike spiritedly. It revs happily till 9,000rpm and picks up speed in a likeable manner. During the BikeWale fuel-efficiency test, the Apache RTR 160 returned 61kmpl, which is commendable. If you pair it with the 12-litre fuel tank, the expected range is about 730km. That said, the numbers might vary according to your riding style.
For reference, we rode the bike in moderate traffic conditions in the city and highway. The revs were maintained under 5,000rpm with the gears short-shifted between 3,000 and 4,000rpm.
