TVS has launched a new variant, the RTR 160 Race Edition. The base model of this variant has been priced at Rs 79,715, whereas the top-end model that features disc brake at the front and rear retails at Rs 82,044 (ex-showroom Delhi).
This new variant is all about cosmetic updates. It gets white and red paint scheme, different graphics and a 3D logo. There’s also a thin race edition decal running on the fuel tank. Rest, everything is the same. Mechanically too, the Apache RTR 160 remains unchanged. It continues to churn 15bhp from a 160cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Apache RTR 160 is one of the highest sales contributors for TVS. It competes with the Yamaha FZ V2, Suzuki Gixxer and the Honda CB Hornet 160R.
