- Gets matte black colour with carbon fiber decals
- Most expensive variant of the bike
- Mechanically remains unchanged
TVS Motor Company has launched the new Racing Edition of the Apache RTR 160 in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs. 1,28,720. That makes it the most expensive variant of the bike, sitting above the erstwhile top-end trim with dual disc brakes and Bluetooth connectivity which costs Rs. 1,27,220 (both prices are ex-showroom).
Setting the Racing Edition apart is a matte black colour scheme with edgy red and grey streaks on the fuel tank and tail section. This is accompanied by carbon fibre, race-inspired graphics along with the Racing Edition logo. Plus, there are red alloy wheels which further accentuate its visual appeal. In the rest of the areas, the Racing Edition is the same as the previous top-end variant.
It’s decently loaded on the feature front and gets an LCD console, Bluetooth connectivity, voice assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, three riding modes, Glide Through Technology (GTT), and an LED headlamp and tail lamp. Powering the bike is a 159.7cc single-cylinder engine which makes 15.82bhp and 13.85Nm and is linked to a five-speed gearbox. As for the hardware package, it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs while braking is handled by a petal-type disc at both ends.
