TVS has launched the Apache RTR 180 Race Edition in India at Rs 83,233 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle features a few cosmetic changes, although it is the same under the skin.
The Apache RTR 180 is the third Apache to get the Race Edition treatment after the RTR 160 and the RTR 200 4V. It features a white paint scheme with red and grey decals on the tank, front fender and the side panels. The tank also features a new 3D TVS logo, while the wheels get red rim tapes and TVS Racing branding. At the heart of the Apache RTR 180 is a 177cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 16.5bhp and 15.5Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Apache RTR 180 is based on the entry-level variant, which gets disc brakes at the front and rear. It is not available with ABS, even as an optional extra. It competes against the Bajaj Pulsar 180.
