- TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 comes in two trims now
- Cheaper single-channel ABS variant launched recently
- Priced at Rs 123,500 (ex-showroom)
TVS Motor Company had launched the BS6-compliant version of the Apache RTR 200 4V in November 2019. Until now, the motorcycle was available only in a single variant – dual-channel ABS. To give its buyers more options, TVS recently introduced a more affordable single-channel ABS trim of the bike. While the dual ABS model costs Rs 128,550, the cheaper single ABS version is pegged at Rs 123,500 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Both variants are available in Gloss Black and Pearl White colour options.
It’s worth noting that TVS launched the more affordable version of the Apache RTR 200 4V after Honda introduced the Hornet 2.0 recently, which is the Apache’s main rival. The Hornet is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh which makes it cheaper than the dual ABS trim of the Apache. Now, with the single ABS variant, TVS has certainly made the RTR 200 more enticing and the buyers have a more affordable alternative over the Hornet 2.0.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a 197.75cc, four-valve, oil-cooled motor which churns out 20.21bhp and 16.8Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch. It is also desirable in terms of features with a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp. There’s also an LCD display which has Bluetooth-connectivity, a feature present only in the RTR 200 amongst its closest rivals. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. The motorcycle weighs at 153kg (kerb) and incorporates a 12-litre fuel tank.
