Over five months after the motorcycle made its maiden public appearance, TVS has now commenced deliveries of the new Apache RTR 200 4V in major cities. Priced at Rs 93,880 (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the Apache RTR 200 4V, for now, is available only in its carburetted non-ABS version.
For now, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. Post the unveiling in January, TVS hiked the price of the Apache RTR 200 4V by around Rs 4,500. The ex-showroom price of Rs 93,880 means that this streetfighter will set you back by around Rs 1.1 lakh by the time it hits the road.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is also available with sticky Pirelli tyres as optional extras, which cost an additional Rs 6,000. In the next couple of months, TVS will also launch a fuel-injected and ABS-quipped version of the Apache RTR 200 4V, though the prices of these models haven’t been revealed as of yet.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a new 200cc single cylinder oil-cooled engine. This carburetted engine produces 20bhp and 18Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Apache RTR 200 4V is available in seven colours - matte red, matte yellow, matte white, matte grey, matte black, black and white. It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and the Honda CB Hornet160R.
