Despite TVS having taken its own sweet time in launching the new Apache RTR 200 4V, the delay for this new streetfighter continues. TVS has deferred the despatch of the Apache RTR 200 4V to showrooms till next month, according to our dealer sources.
While the first batch of Apache RTR 200 4V was expected to reach showrooms in the last week of February, dealerships are still clueless about it. Dealerships haven’t started accepting bookings for the motorcycle either, as they are still unsure about the particulars of the motorcycle and the exact prices. Dealerships are now anticipating the display models to reach showrooms by the last week of March and with deliveries expected to commence only by the first week of April. It is not yet clear why TVS has postponed the despatch of the motorcycle, and are still waiting for an official word from TVS regarding the same.
The Apache RTR 200 4V made its debut earlier this year. It derives its aggressive styling cues from the Draken X21 concept, while the powertrain is a majorly upgraded version of the 180cc unit. The 200cc single-cylinder four valve engine is available in two versions with different states of tune – one with a carburettor and one with a Bosch fuel-injection system. Prices start at Rs 88,990 for the entry-level model, going all the way up to Rs 1.08 lakh for the fully kitted out model. The latter comes armed with fuel injection, stickier Pirelli tyres and ABS.
