The Apache RTR 200 4V is the first 200cc motorcycle from TVS. It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and will be available in two engine forms – carburetted and fuel injected. We recently rode this bike at TVS’ testing facility in Hosur and were quite impressed. You can read our first ride review here. And if you want to spend time looking at the pictures of the bike, check out the detailed photo gallery below.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a new 200cc single cylinder oil-cooled engine. This carburetted engine produces 20.21bhp at 8500rpm and maximum torque of 18.1Nm at 7000rpm.
For the fuel injected engine, power is marginally more with 20.71bhp at 8500rpm. TVS claims that this FI motorcycle can do 0-60kmph in 3.9 seconds and 0-100kmph under 12 seconds.
The FI version of the Apache RTR 200 4V gets a closed loop fuel injection sourced from Bosch for better fueling and to meet the emission norms.
The braking department is taken care of by a 270mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel Bosch ABS is available as well but will be sold only after 90 days.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is offered in seven colours – matte red, matte yellow, matte white, matte grey, matte black, black and white. Out of all, the matte yellow looks stunning.
The bike gets 90/90 section TVS Remora tyres in the front and 130/70 section tyres at the rear. Both tyres are fitted on 17-inch alloy wheels. Pirelli tyres are also offered as option.
The best looking instrument cluster has been used in the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The white backlight and black fonts makes a good combination. The lap time and top speed recorder works brilliantly.
The bike gets beefy 37mm telescopic forks in the front and a KYB monoshock at the rear – a first for a TVS motorcycle.
