- Looks sharp and compact
- Will be powered by the same motor as the Apache RR310
- Likely to cost around Rs. 2.50 lakh
TVS has posted another teaser of its upcoming streetfighter, the Apache RTR 310. The new video reveals quite some design details and hints at a very sharp and aggressive bodywork. It shows the Apache RTR 310’s left side profile with the front end resembling a certain Italian superbike and the tail appearing to be sleek and pointed.
The upcoming TVS Apache RTR 310 will feature a new split LED headlight, with a chiselled fuel tank and is likely to be quite compact in terms of dimensions too. Moreover, it seems that the pillion seat is quite small, which may get a tad uncomfortable. The production model could be equipped with a swingarm-mounted tyre hugger that will double down as the number plate holder. Some of the previously spotted test mules were equipped with the said setup. While the teaser shows the bike with a small end canister exhaust, the final model would feature the same exhaust as the current RR 310s.
TVS will use a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that dishes out 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm for the new RTR 310. This is the same motor that the RR 310 is equipped with. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Then, the rider triangle seems quite engaging as the footpegs are rear set but the rider is seated upright. Similar to its faired sibling, the Apache RTR 310 will also come loaded with features. From LED illumination to a fully digital console as well as smartphone connectivity, the new TVS naked motorcycle is likely to come equipped with all the bells and whistles.
Its hardware will comprise USD front forks and a monoshock, while the braking setup will include a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The Apache RTR 310 will ride on 17-inch wheels wrapped in road-biased rubber.
The Apache RTR 310 will debut on 6 September, 2023. Its bookings should commence shortly after the official launch and we expect the asking price to be around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the KTM 250 Duke as well.
