- TVS Apache RTR 310 will feature an LED headlamp
- Likely to be priced at Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Will rival the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G310 R
TVS has released a new teaser video of the upcoming Apache RTR 310, which reveals the design of its headlight/DRLs. The motorcycle will be launched in India on 6 September (tomorrow).
Besides the headlamp design, earlier teasers have offered us a sneak peek of the bike’s chassis design and powertrain. The TVS Apache RTR 310 will be underpinned by a steel trellis frame, similar to the RR 310, but the rear subframe is different and looks like a composite unit.
The Apache RTR 310 will powered by the same reverse-inclined 312.2cc, liquid-cooled motor that powers the Apache RR 310. The single-cylinder, four-valve mill is likely to produce 34bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, along with an assist and slipper clutch.
The motorcycle is expected to share a lot of cycle parts with its fully-faired sibling. It is likely to use 43mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock to perform suspension duties. Meanwhile, the braking hardware is likely to comprise disc brakes at both ends, along with dual-channel ABS as a part of the safety net. However, teaser videos and spy photos have revealed that the TVS Apache RTR 310 will feature a different design for the alloy wheels, compared to the RR 310.
As for its pricing, we expect the RTR 310 to be priced close to Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Apache RTR 310 will compete against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R, Triumph Speed 400, and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
