- TVS Apache RTR 310 priced from Rs 2.42 lakh
- Offered in three colour options
- Competes against KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R
The TVS Apache RTR 310 was launched in India recently with a price of Rs 2.42 lakh. The KTM 390 Duke-rival is offered in a choice of two colour options.
You can choose the Fury Yellow colour option. It features yellow on the front fender, headlamp cowl, engine cowl and rear wheel as well as half of the fuel tank. The rest of the Apache RTR 310 is done up in grey. Meanwhile, the Arsenal Black option mixes black with grey and features red highlights in the form of wheel stripes and the ‘Apache’ logo on the tank. It also comes with a red-painted rear wheel.
There also is the option of Sepang Blue that is offered with the Build To Order kit. Well, the styling of the RTR 310 is aggressive and radical. It comes with sharp lines on its bodywork accentuated by the angry-looking full-LED split lamps and svelte rear.
While it shares the frame with the Apache RR 310, the RTR gets a different sub-frame. It is also equipped with some interesting features. There is a fully digital TFT with the ability to connect to GoPro. It also comes with a climate control seat and also six-axis IMU unit to take care of cornering ABS, cornering traction control and cornering cruise control. The bike is also equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system and a bi-directional quick-shifter.
However, the rest of the motorcycle remains pretty much the same as its faired sibling- the Apache RR 310. It is powered by the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that churns out 35bhp at 9700rpm and 28.7Nm at 6650rpm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. Even the braking and suspension hardware is the same, although tweaked to suit the streetfighter’s character.
When it comes to rivals, the biggest rival to the TVS Apache RTR 310 is the newly launched KTM 390 Duke as well as the BMW G310 R which shares the same engine.
