- Officially teased by TVS once again
- Will feature sharp and youthful styling
- To be powered by a 312cc single-cylinder engine
TVS has once again teased the upcoming Apache RTR 310 on its social media handles. But this time around, the brand has posted an up-close image of the bike with its face and tank covered in a black cloth to hide the bodywork. However, quite a few design cues of the RTR 310 are still visible in this image.
The Apache RTR 310 is likely to get low-mounted twin LED headlights, with LED turn indicators. Its fuel tank appears quite butch and seems to contribute heavily to the overall proportions. The tank shrouds look equally sharp as well. TVS will use the same engine for the RTR 310 as it does for the RR 310. It’s a 313cc, single-cylinder mill making 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm. But we won’t be surprised if TVS tweaks the tuning and gear ratios for the new Apache.
It will feature LED illumination and a fully digital console and we expect the unit to carry smartphone connectivity too. Then, the list of rider aids could include riding modes and dual-channel ABS. Maybe, TVS could offer the BTO option for the Apache RTR 310 with the adjustable suspension, footpegs, handlebar and all the bits of the package. This could make the entire package a fairly sweet deal. The bike seen in the new teaser image is equipped with USD front forks and a monoshock whereas the braking hardware includes a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It is equipped with new 17-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tyres.
TVS will take the wraps off the Apache RTR 310 on 6 September and we expect it to be priced at around Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R.
