TVS is set to launch the new Apache RTR 310 in India next month. Before it arrives in a showroom next to you, here is a quick rundown of everything you should know about the all-new TVS Apache RTR 310.
Aggressive streetfighter styling
The teaser videos have revealed the silhouette and bits of the RTR 310’s styling. And it is safe to say that the flagship motorcycle will look nothing like the existing line of Apaches. It looks far more aggressive and seems to be derived from the Ducati Streetfighter. While the motorcycle looks compac in the videos, especially its rear end, TVS is likely to make a relatively spacious pillion seat.
What the videos also reveal is a low-slung headlamp that features full LED lighting. That said, the TVS Apache RTR 310 will also be fitted with the same exhaust setup as the RR310 rather than the short exhaust in the teaser. Well, the Apache RTR 310 would sport the same frame as the faired motorcycle.
We can expect the RTR 310 to offer comfortable ergonomics with a single-piece handlebar. The footpegs would not be completely rear set either. That said, the wheel designs are also different from the Apache RTR 310 and BMW G310 R too.
Engine
Underneath the streetfighter bodystyle, the Apache RTR 310 will come with the same, tried and tested 313cc, single-cylinder engine that is featured on the RR310, BMW G310 R, G310 GS and G310 RR as well. This motor would offer 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that dishes out 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm.
Features
The Apache RTR 310 is expected to come with a comprehensive package of features. Beside full-LED lighting, it could come with a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. It is also likely to feature ride modes that alter the throttle response and ABS intervention. Other than this, it is safe to say that TVS would introduce a BTO version of the RTR 310 in the near future too.
Hardware
Suspension and braking hardware on the upcoming Apache RTR 310 is expected to remain the same as the RR310. So upside down forks with golden fork bottles and a monoshock at the rear would handle damping. Whereas, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS would handle braking duties.
Launch and pricing
The TVS Apache RTR 310 is scheduled to make its debut on 6 September with an expected pricing of around Rs 2.5 lakh. It would go up against the KTM 250 Duke and 390 Duke along with the BMW G310 R in India.
