- Apache RTX name trademarked
- Could be used for the upcoming 300cc bike
A new TVS motorcycle name has been trademarked by Sundaram Clayton Limited. For the uninitiated, it's part of the TVS Group and has recently filed for the Apache RTX name. Here’s what we think it could be.
TVS has been working on a new 300cc naked motorcycle that we discussed a few months ago. It’ll be the Apache RTR 310 would basically be a streetfighter version of the Hosur-based brand’s Apache RR 310. So, we expect it to get aggressive and youthful styling as well as LED illumination. The bike is inching closer to its official launch and it makes sense for TVS to trademark the aforementioned name around the same time.
Like the RR 310, the new Apache RTR 310 would also use a 312cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm. It’ll be mated to a six-speed gearbox. However, the tune is expected to be different from its faired sibling.
As of now, these are just speculations of the TVS Apache RTX name being used for the RTR 310. And the same would be verified in the coming months as the brand prepares for an official unveiling.
