TVS Motor Company has updated its Colombian portfolio with the launch of the Apache RTR 200 4V Special Edition Racing. This variant of the roadster-segment motorcycle gets several upgrades over the standard model. Here, we bring you a detailed image gallery of the TVS Apache Special Edition Racing.
This variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V gets additional equipment such as a flyscreen, hand guards, crash guards, a radiator protector, and a front disc brake calliper cover.
This motorcycle is available in a single colour option – California Grey Red – which is a new paint theme.
The front fender, headlight mask, fuel tank cover, and engine cowl feature California Grey paint along with red highlights. Then, the rear panel gets black paint along with red highlights.
On the other hand, the design remains similar to the standard model, and the Special Edition Racing version retains a single-pod headlight, a body-coloured headlight mask, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, an engine cowl, and a side-slung exhaust.
This special edition model is based on the top-spec Apache RTR 200 4V. Thus, it benefits from Bluetooth connectivity and Showa-sourced adjustable suspension.
The mechanical specifications on the Colombian-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V include a Euro3-compliant, 197.75cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine with a carburettor system. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this engine delivers 20bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 18.1Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
The hardware includes telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension duties. Meanwhile, the braking setup comprises a 270mm single disc with a two-piston calliper at the front and a 240mm single rotor with a single-piston calliper at the back.
