TVS has concluded the Mumbai chapter of Apache Racing Experience (ARE) at Wadala. The venue also hosted the last qualifying round for TVS Racing’s Women’s One Make series.
ARE is an experiential program which aims to give Apache customers a taste of what their motorcycles are capable of. At the event, Apache owners can put their motorcycles through the paces on a specially laid out track under the eye of professional racers like Harry Sylvester, Jagan Kumar, KY Ahmed, S. Kannan and Aishwarya Pissay. Pune will be the next city to host the ARE. The event will be conducted at Pune Track IndiKarting, Tulaja Bhawani Nagar, Kharadi on 31 March. You can register for the event through TVS’ official website.
TVS also conducted the final qualifying round of the Women’s One Make championship at ARE. The round saw the participation of 35 contestants. Over the day, all the participants underwent classroom sessions and hands-on training on race-spec Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycles. They were then put through time trials to narrow down the 16 fastest riders.
These 16 riders will now head to the MMRT track in Chennai, where they will undergo track training on 8 April along with the other contestants from Bangalore and Chennai. The 15 fastest riders from the lot will be eligible to compete in the 2018 season of TVS Women’s One Make championship, which is a support category in Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.
