- Two-wheeler sales grew by 25 per cent
TVS Motor Company recorded a growth of 21 per cent in its overall sales in November 2020. This includes domestic dispatches and exports of two-wheelers and three-wheelers combined. The company retailed 3,22,709 units last month, which was up from 2,66,582 units in November 2019.
Looking at the two-wheeler sales only, total dispatches stood at 3,11,519 in November this year, as against 2,49,350 units in the corresponding month last year, accounting for a growth of 25 per cent. This includes 1,33,531 units of motorcycles and 1,06,196 units of scooters, which grew by 26 per cent each. Considering exports of two-wheelers in particular, there was a bump of 10 per cent. TVS says exports were adversely affected due to Cyclone Nivar, which caused the operations getting disrupted at its Chennai port.
TVS recently introduced the new ARIVE smartphone application for making the two-wheeler viewing and buying experience convenient for its customers. The ARIVE app uses AI (augmented reality) for providing a virtual 360-degree view of TVS offerings while also allowing users to scan a real bike and inspect its details in different formats. For those who don’t have an AI-supported smartphone, the app also has a 3D mode for such customers. The ARIVE app is available for Android and iOS users both.
