TVS Motor Company recently revamped its iQube lineup by introducing a more affordable base variant and a range-topping ST trim. The standard iQube is now also offered with a 2.2kWh battery pack, which has resulted in a lower price tag as well. In this article, let’s take a look at the top highlights of the TVS iQube 2.2kWh variant.
Lower Price Tag
The most affordable TVS iQube variant is priced at Rs. 94,999 (ex-showroom). This includes the EMPS subsidy and cashback, which is valid upto 30 June, 2024. The lower price tag has been achieved by offering a smaller battery pack on the base variant of the iQube.
Smaller Battery Pack
Like we mentioned above, the lower-spec TVS iQube is offered with a 2.2kWh battery pack instead of the 3.4kWh unit offered on the standard model. The smaller battery pack version offers a claimed range of 75km and a top speed of 75kmph. The battery can be charged from 0-80 per cent in two hours.
In comparison, the standard version offers a claimed range of 100km on a single charge and a top speed of 80kmph. That said, all variants of the iQube are powered by a 4.4kW BLDC hub motor that produces 140Nm of peak torque.
Similar Styling
Unlike some unconventional or sporty-looking electric scooters, the TVS iQube looks quite simple and borderline similar to any ICE-powered scooter. It features a family-scooter styling without any cuts or creases. The EV has a large seat and comfortable ergonomics, which should help in everyday commuting.
Features
The standard iQube comes packed with features such as full LED illumination, two ride modes – Economy and Power, park assist, and a USB charging port. It also gets a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features include OTA updates, call/SMS alerts, distance to empty, crash and fall alerts, anti-theft alerts, geo-fencing, live indicator status and more.
Hardware
The entire iQube range shares similar underpinnings and cycle parts. The electric scooter uses a tubular frame, suspended by telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the back. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, while a front disc brake and a rear drum brake handle braking duties.
