The TVS iQube first ride impressions are out, and we have already brought you a detailed review of the first electric scooter from the Hosur based manufacturer. Here we bring you excerpts from the review along with detailed images of the new TVS iQube electric scooter.
In terms of styling, TVS Motor Company has opted to strike a balance between futuristic looks and retro design. The silhouette looks similar to a conventional scooter. The features such as full-LED lighting and a colour-TFT display add a modern touch to the iQube.
The 5-inch TFT display benefits from Bluetooth-connectivity and it gets all the Smart Connect features.
The plastics used for the buttons and switches feels a little cheap on what otherwise looks and feels as a premium package.
The under-seat storage capacity stands at 21-litres, which can accommodate a full-face helmet. TVS Motor Company has also added a USB charger inside the under-seat storage.
The electric motor produces a peak power output of 4.4 kW or 6bhp and 140Nm of torque. It boasts two riding modes – Eco and Power.
The three Li-ion battery packs take about five hours to recharge. The company claims that the battery pack should last for 75 km on a full charge.
The telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers can easily handle minor undulations.
The 220mm disc brake at the front delivers a strong bite.
The new TVS iQube electric scooter is only available in Bangalore for now, where it is priced at Rs 1.15 lakhs (on-road).
