- New Jupiter 110 gets a great response
- Priced at Rs 73,800
- Attracting 125cc consumers as well
It’s been a little over a week since TVS launched the new Jupiter 110 at a pretty good price tag. The starting variant is priced at Rs 73,700, which is a few thousand rupees less than the Honda Activa 6G.
BikeWale spoke with a few TVS dealers in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai and almost everyone has been very happy with the way Indian consumers have responded to the new Jupiter. Currently, there aren’t any official booking numbers for this 110cc scooter, but dealers claim that the booking numbers have been increasing.
According to some dealers, a lot of consumers were in the market for a 125cc scooter like the Suzuki Access 125, however, decided to book the Jupiter for a range of reasons – design and features being the top two. The dealers claim that the majority of the bookings were being done for the drum alloy version, but they see the numbers for the top-end variant increasing from September.
In terms of colours, the Matte Blue and Copper Matte are in highest demand in most metro cities. The actual performance of the new Jupiter 110 will be known when the September sales reports come out. Interestingly, TVS had stopped manufacturing the old Jupiter almost 50 days ago and had started production of the new model to avoid unnecessary stockpile at the dealer’s end.
