TVS recently launched the Jupiter in a new trim with the smartphone connectivity option. It’s called SmartXonnect and makes for the third and most expensive variant of the Jupiter 125. If you are planning to purchase the TVS Jupiter 125, here’s a list of all its variants and what they have to offer.
Drum Alloy
The Drum Alloy variant is the base and most affordable variant of the TVS Jupiter 125. It retails at Rs. 86,405 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is offered in three colour options – IndiBlue, Titanium Grey, and Pristine White. The Drum Alloy model looks similar to all other models in terms of design but the wheels are different and as the name says, it gets drum brakes at both ends. It comes with a semi-digital instrument console, which comprises an analogue speedometer on the left and a small LCD on the right that houses the fuel level indicator, time, and trip meter.
Disc
The Jupiter 125 Disc trim differs slightly from the drum variant. It gets diamond cut alloys, disc brake at the front, and an additional paint scheme called Dawn Orange. It is priced at Rs. 90,655 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This variant also gets the same instrument console layout as the drum version.
SmartXonnect
As mentioned earlier, the Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect is the latest variant in the list. It is priced at Rs. 96,855 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and TVS offers it in only two paint schemes – Elegant Red and Matte Copper Bronze. This is the highest-spec version of the 125cc Jupiter as it gets a disc brake at the front, diamond-cut alloys, backrest for the pillion, and a fully digital console with Bluetooth connectivity. This lets the user connect his/her phone to the scooter’s console and access features like navigation, call and Whatsapp alerts, voice alerts, and other updates.
All three trims use the same 124.8cc engine that makes 8.04bhp and 10.5Nm. It is linked to a CVT gearbox and the hardware includes telescopic front forks and a monoshock.
