TVS has launched the Jupiter Classic in a new paint scheme. Apart from gloss gold, the special edition variant is now also available in a matte brown paint scheme, at the same price as before.
The TVS Jupiter Classic was introduced during the festive season as a commemoration of the cumulative sales of the Jupiter crossing the 20 lakh mark. It gets a retro vibe thanks to the windscreen, round mirrors and touches of chrome all around. It also gets dual-tone seat cover and a pillion backrest. The instrument console layout is identical to the standard Jupiter, although the graphics are different. The Jupiter Classic also gets a USB charger, located under the seat, as standard. At the heart of the Jupiter Classic is the same 109cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers 7.8bhp and 8Nm of torque through a CVT transmission.
Of late, there has been an increase in demand for matte paint schemes in two-wheelers as they look trendier than glossy paint schemes. The matte brown Jupiter Classic retails at the same price as the gloss gold model. Priced at Rs 55,266 (ex-showroom), the Jupiter Classic is a direct rival to the Yamaha Fascino.
