- 2020 Jupiter in the making
- Will get mechanical and design upgrades
- To launch during festive season in 2020
TVS is working on giving a major facelift to its highest selling scooter, the Jupiter. This upgraded version will be launched next year, around the festive season.
According to our sources, the Hosur-based manufacturer has recently finalized on the design and features of this scooter. However, the work on the upgraded BS-VI engine is still on.
TVS won’t give a major design upgrade to the scooter as the current scooter has appealed to the audience. However, it plans to enhance the overall design by tweaking the front apron and the rear panels. The premium variants, on the other hand, will feature a few chrome elements. The facelifted Jupiter will further get a new instrument cluster with a small LCD screen placed at the bottom of the cluster.
In terms of mechanical changes, the 2020 Jupiter will get a fuel-injection system that will help it meet the stringent BS-VI emission norms. There might be a slight bump in displacement as well, but this can be confirmed only next year.
TVS will launch the 2020 Jupiter during the festive season. Like the other two-wheelers, the 2020 Jupiter will also see a decent hike in price, but it plans to justify it by equipping it with unique features.
