- Limited-edition Jupiter Grande discontinued
-Jupiter ZX now gets features borrowed from the Grande
TVS has taken the Jupiter Grande off the shelves in India. The scooter was launched back in October 2018 as a limited-edition offering.
It was offered in two variants; drum and disc which were priced at Rs 55,936 and Rs 59,648 respectively. The Jupiter Grande sported a full-LED headlamp with LED DRL. It also got an analogue speedometer with an LCD unit that displays fuel level, trip meter and clock. To further differentiate itself from the standard versions, it got a chrome touches on the mirrors and a brown seat with a cross-stitched pattern.
Nevertheless, apart from the seat, TVS is offering the same features in the Jupiter ZX variant. The Jupiter ZX Drum SBT is available for Rs 56,093 while the Jupiter ZX Disc version costs Rs 58,645. The scooter is powered by a 109cc engine that produces 7.8bhp of power and 8Nm of torque. It comes mated to a V-Matic gearbox. The Jupiter ZX rides on 12-inch wheels on both ends that are suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 220mm disc for the front and 130mm rear drum brake along with TVS’s SBT (Synchronised Braking Technology).
The TVS Jupiter is India’s second highest-selling scooter just behind its biggest rival, the Honda Activa. It also competes against the Yamaha Fascino and Hero Maestro Edge in the country.
