TVS Motor Company has updated its Jupiter scooter line-up by re-introducing the Grande variant. However, this time around, the variant features a Bluetooth enabled instrument console, new colour shade and a few more updates. The re-launched Jupiter Grande model has been priced at Rs 62,346 ex-showroom, New Delhi. Compared to the previous range-topping Classic SBT and ZX Disc SBT models that are priced at Rs 59,990, the Jupiter Grande demands a premium of Rs 2,446 over them.
According to our exclusive report on the new variant, the Jupiter Grande has been equipped with a new semi-digital instrument console that is Bluetooth enabled ans can be paired with Android and iOS smartphones to provide the rider with updates like call and text notifications, over speeding alert, trip report. The user needs to download the TVS Connect App to access these features. Furthermore, the scooter is offered in a new light blue colour scheme paired with beige inner body panels. The seat also gets a touch of luxury in the form of cross-stitched pattern with maroon colour. The Jupiter Grande also features a dual-colour 3D logo which, according to the company, is a segment first. Besides that, like the previous generation Grande edition, the scooter features machine-cut alloy wheels, chrome covers for the rear-view mirrors and LED headlamp.
Besides that, the Jupiter Grande remains the same as far as the mechanicals are concerned. It is powered by the same 109.7cc single-pot motor that registers 7.8bhp and 8Nm. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and monoshock at the rear which is now adjustable. Braking is done by a disc-drum setup that is equipped with SBT.
Competition-wise, the TVS Jupiter Grande rivals against the likes of the Honda Activa 5G, Hero Maestro Edge and Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR.
