- Gets LED headlamp, semi-digital instrument display and new seat.
- No mechanical changes.
- To be launched in the next few weeks.
A new variant for the TVS Jupiter called the Grande edition has been spotted at a dealership.
While the Jupiter Grande shares its bodywork with the standard variant, it appears to get a full-LED headlamp with LED DRL. The scooter also sports a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and small-digital unit that displays fuel level, trip meter and clock. Furthermore, the Grande edition also offers a brown seat with a quilt-like finish for a premium appeal.
The Jupiter Grande sports a navy blue paint job with contrasting beige on the footboard, handlebar and front apron similar to the Jupiter Classic. Apart from these changes, the Jupiter Grande remains the same. It will be powered by a 109cc engine that produces 8bhp and 8Nm of torque. The braking setup on the spied scooter consists of drum brakes on both ends with a combined braking system. However, TVS is likely to equip the Grande edition with a front disc brake too.
These updates put on par with its biggest rival, the Honda Activa 5G. We can expect the Jupiter Grande to be launched in the next few weeks, just in time for the Indian festive season. It is likely to be priced around Rs 60,000 to Rs 63,000.
