.TVS has recorded the highest ever sales for the Jupiter, with 93,573 units sold in the last month. This is a 54 per cent increase over the 60,943 units sold in the same month, last year.
The reason for the bump in sales figures can be attributed to the festive season. While two-wheeler sales usually skyrocket during this period, select dealers were also offering special schemes and free accessories like a chrome guard for the scooter. TVS also launched the special edition Jupiter Classic just in time for the festive season, which has also contributed to the increase in sales.
The Jupiter is positioned below the Wego in the Indian market and is the second best-selling scooter in the country after the Honda Activa. Apart from the segment leader, the Honda Activa 4G, the Jupiter also competes against the Yamaha Fascino, Hero Maestro Edge, Mahindra Gusto and the Suzuki Let’s.
