TVS has cumulatively sold 20 lakh units of the Jupiter since it was launched in India four years ago. While it took the company two and a half years to clock the first 10 lakh units, the next 10 lakh units were sold in just one and a half years.
With an average sale of over 45,000 units a month, the Jupiter is one of the most popular scooters in the Indian market. Its sales numbers are second only to the Honda Activa 4G in the scooter market. The Jupiter offers a good balance of engine performance, fuel economy, features and styling, which has proved to be a big draw among male as well as female customers. It is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that churns out 8bhp and 8Nm of torque. It is available in multiple variants with sync braking system (SBS) as well as a front disc brake. TVS offers nine colour options for the Jupiter.
A few weeks ago, TVS launched a special edition variant of the Jupiter, called Jupiter Classic. Priced at Rs 55,266 (ex-showroom), the Jupiter Classic gets a slew of cosmetic upgrades to set it apart from the standard model.
