The TVS Jupiter has tasted a fair bit of success in terms of sales. In order to further augment the sales, TVS Motors will introduce a new matte blue colour for the scooter at the onset of the festive season.
The Jupiter is currently offered in six colours - titanium grey, matte beige, sparkling silver, midnight black, volcano red and pristine white. Prospective buyers will get one more colour to choose from with the addition of matte blue.
The company will also equip the Jupiter with a disc brake calling it as the Jupiter ZX variant. The Mumbai ex-showroom price of the standard Jupiter is Rs 50,398 while the Jupiter ZX is priced at Rs 52,426. So we can expect the ZX version to cost around Rs 2,000 more than the standard version and in all probability will be offered in all the seven colours.
Powered by an 110cc single cylinder engine that produces 7bhp of power and 8Nm of torque, the TVS Jupiter has managed to show a positive growth in sales and also earned a position in India’s top-ten list of two-wheelers in terms of sales. It is good to see a substantial growth in the sales of scooters over the years and the change in the trend of buying scooters instead of just motorcycles in our country.
