- Rs 2,300 more expensive now
- Gets a USB charging port also
- Available in a new Olive Gold colour option
TVS Motor Company has spiced up its scooter portfolio by bestowing the Jupiter ZX Drum variant with Bluetooth connectivity. This version is priced at Rs 84,468 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 2,300 more expensive than the older non-Bluetooth trim of the scooter. Now, this is the second Bluetooth-enabled variant of the Jupiter, apart from the more expensive ZX SmartXonnect trim that has been on sale for a long time now. Notably, the former has been equipped with this functionality owing to the success of the latter, says TVS.
With the aforementioned update, the Jupiter ZX Drum now incorporates TVS’ trademarked SmartXonnect technology that brings along several connected features such as turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, and SMS and call alerts on the instrument cluster. Moreover, TVS has equipped this variant with a built-in USB mobile charging port. Visually, the scooter remains the same but there’s a new Olive Gold colour option available now which will be sold alongside the existing Starlight Blue paint scheme.
On the mechanical front, the TVS Jupiter ZX Drum remains the same as other variants. It is powered by a 109.7cc, air-cooled motor that produces 7.77bhp and 8.8Nm and comes mated to a CVT transmission system. With a fuel tank capacity of 5.8 litre, the scooter’s kerb weight stands at 107kg. It rides on a 12-inch alloy wheel at both ends that are suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking setup, meanwhile, depends on the chosen variant.
The most affordable sheet metal variant of the TVS Jupiter costs Rs. 73,240 while top-end Classic trim goes up to Rs 89,648. It mainly competes against the Honda Activa 6G which starts from Rs 76,234 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
