TVS has kickstarted the 2017 season of its One Make Championship at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This championship is being conducted as a part of the 2017 FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.
TVS is conducting three classes of racing this year in its One Make Championship. Apart from the usual Open class, TVS is also conducting the inaugural TVS Ladies One Make Championship this year. This series features 15 women racers shortlisted through a training camp held at Bangalore last month. The third category is the inaugural TVS Young Media Racer class. All three categories use race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycles.
The qualifiers as well as the races for the Ladies and Media classes will be conducted tomorrow. The first round of the Open category comprises of two races, which will be conducted over the next two days. The second round will be hosted by the MMRT track in Irungattukottai, Chennai, between July 7 and July 9.
