TVS has just launched the BS6 version of its highest selling two-wheeler –the XL 100. The company has priced the base variant which is the Heavy Duty i-Touchstart variant at Rs 43,889 (ex-showroom).
The other two variants – Comfort i-Touchstart and special editions have been priced at Rs 45,459 and Rs 45,129 (ex-showroom) respectively. The BS4 variants were cheaper by close to Rs 3500. Interestingly, the BS6 variant hasn’t lost any power. The 100cc engine continues to make 4.4bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 6.5Nm at 3500rpm.
With the BS6 variant, TVS claims that the fuel efficiency has increased by 15 per cent. However, the official website hasn’t mentioned the new ARAI claimed figure. The BS6 XL 100 now tips the scale at 85.5kgs which is an increase of 1.5kgs over the BS4 variant. The bookings for the BS6 XL 100 has commenced at all TVS showrooms. However, there’s no timeline for its deliveries.
