TVS Motor Company has reached the five million sales milestone for its family scooter, the Jupiter, in India. And to celebrate the achievement in style, the company has launched the new Classic special edition of the Jupiter.
The Jupiter Classic differs from other variants in terms of styling and features. The visual add-ons include black mirrors and front fender garnish, a tinted visor, and a 3D black premium logo. Other new styling elements are handlebar end weights, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and dark brown inner panels. Further, the graphics visible on the apron and side panels are exclusive to this trim.
On the feature front, TVS has equipped the new Jupiter Classic with a front disc brake, engine kill switch, all-in-one lock, a USB charging port, and a pillion backrest. Meanwhile, the engine and cycle parts remain the same as other variants. Powering the scooter is a 109.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.37bhp and 8.4Nm. It rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends with telescopic forks and a monoshock. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter stands at 6 litres.
The new TVS Jupiter Classic is available in two colour choices including Regal Purple and Mystic Grey with a price tag of Rs 85,866 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 2,200 more expensive than the ZX SmartXonnect trim.
