- TVS Raider 125 launched in Nepal
- India launch took place in September, 2021
TVS Motor Company recently widened its product portfolio in Nepal by launching the new Raider 125 in the country. The motorcycle was launched in India in September with a price tag of Rs 77,500 (ex-showroom).
The Raider 125 is TVS’ take on a sporty commuter which mainly competes against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the Honda SP 125. It gets a fancy design with a radical-looking headlamp, muscular fuel tank extensions, split seat and a stubby tail section. It’s also quite impressive in terms of features with an LED headlamp and tail lamp, a fully-digital console, and a USB charger. TVS also offers the bike in Connected variant that gets Bluetooth connectivity; a segment-first element. However, this feature isn’t yet available in the model sold in Nepal.
Powering the motorcycle is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The hardware package is pretty basic with 30mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock along with a disc-drum braking set up. With a 10-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle weighs 123kg (kerb) which makes it very easy to handle and maneuver.
In Nepal, TVS will be retailing Raider 125 in a choice of four colour options including Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black and Fiery Yellow.
