TVS has launched the new Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs edition in India at Rs 46,113 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This special edition is a commemoration of the Scooty Zest 110 becoming the first 110cc scooter to scale the Khardung La mountain pass at the hands of a female rider.
Earlier this year, professional bike stunt performer and rider Anam Hashim became the first woman to scale Khardung La on a 110cc scooter. Notorious for its bad roads and inhospitable conditions, the Khardung La mountain pass is widely regarded as the highest motorable road in the world. The Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs special edition pays tribute to Anam’s feat.
The Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs gets oak coloured panels below the seat and on the floorboard, a dual tone seat and a unique beige paint scheme to set it apart from the standard scooter. The front panel also gets a special edition emblem.
While none of these upgrades will actually assist you in conquering Khardung La, the Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs does get the same 110cc single-cylinder engine, which is used in the standard version and for that matter, in the exact scooter that Anam used to accomplish her record-setting feat. The Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs is around Rs 600 more expensive than the standard variant.
