The updated TVS Sport entered the Indian market today and will retail for Rs 36,880 (ex-showroom Delhi). The company claims that the motorcycle will now churn out a fuel efficiency of 95kmpl as against the previous 87.7kmpl.
This increase in fuel efficiency is due to the DuraLife Engine which has reduced friction and lays less stress on the engine. The reworked 100cc engine produces 7.3bhp at 7500rpm and a peak torque of 7.5Nm at 5000rpm. This engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Other than the increase in fuel efficiency, the Sport also gets an electric start, aluminium grab rail, chrome muffler guard and a sporty instrument cluster. The TVS Sport is available in five colours – red, black, blue, white and mercury grey.
