- TVS plans to sell 1000 units of 310 range
- Apache RTR 310 was launched at Rs. 2.43 lakh
- Export of the bike will commence soon
TVS expanded its top-end motorcycle range with the launch of the new Apache RTR 310. Priced at Rs. 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom), it is the second most expensive motorcycle in its portfolio after the Apache RR 310.
The new Apache RTR 310 was developed to cater to the growing segment and its needs. Currently, there are not a lot of sporty street fighters in the segment, but TVS believes the sales potential from this segment is relatively high. The Hosur-based company sells around 500 units of the Apache RR 310 per month. The brand is expecting sales in the 310cc segment to grow to over 1000 units eventually, thanks to the introduction of the RTR 310.
For now, the new Apache RTR 310 will be sold in India, but there are plans to export the bike to various other markets. When that happens, the sales numbers are likely to touch around 1000 units a month. The brand is bullish about the bike and its future as it has great styling and a powerful engine and is also loaded with class-leading features. In fact, the motorcycle gets a temperature control seat, which is a never-seen-before feature in the segment.
The new TVS Apache RTR 310 competes with the BMW G310R and the recently introduced KTM 390 Duke. However, the Austrian motorcycle does not compete when it comes to pricing.
