The Jupiter brand from TVS has been a known name in every household. It has been the largest selling scooter for TVS and might get a sibling soon in the 125cc avatar.
It is learned that TVS is currently developing a 125cc scooter that could be introduced in the India in the next few months. While there is not a lot of information on this upcoming scooter, there’s a high chance of this scooter being launched under the Jupiter brand. The Hosur-based company is still trying to figure out if using Jupiter for its 125cc scooter makes sense or launch it under the new brand.
Most of the manufacturers except Bajaj have a scooter in the 110cc segment, but companies like Honda and Suzuki have presence in the growing 125cc segment as well. In fact, Hero MotoCorp plans to launch their 125cc scooter – the Dare – in the next few months.
TVS doesn’t want to stay behind and wants to have a slice of the 125cc segment. We’re quite eager to see this 125cc scooter. Hope the company positions this scooter as a value for money product, just like the Jupiter.
