- TVS sold 56,218 motorcycles and scooters last month
- Registers an 80 per cent slump in sales
- To launch the Zest 110 BS6 soon
TVS Motor Company has announced a total sale of 56, 218 motorcycles and scooters amidst the Coronavirus lockdown in May 2020.
The domestic market contributed to 41,067 units; a decrease of 82.6 per cent as compared to 2.36 lakh units sold in the same month last year. Meanwhile, TVS exported 15,151 motorcycles and scooters overseas in May 2020. This is a 73.6 per cent decline as against the 57,519 units sold overseas in May 2019.
TVS has restarted its manufacturing facilities in Hosur, Mysuru, and Nalagarh. And with the country slowly coming out of the lockdown, we can expect sales numbers for TVS to increase in the coming months. The company will also launch the updated versions of the Victor and Zest 110 soon, completing its BS6 portfolio in India soon.
