TVS Motor Company expects its domestic sales of two-wheelers to grow by 10 per cent in 2017. The Indian motorcycle company is set to hit domestic two-wheeler sales of 1.85 lakh units per month by the end of 2015-16 which is a growth of about 8 per cent.
Vice-President, Sales & Service, J S Srinivasan said, "Next year (2016-17) we expect the industry to grow by 5 to 6 per cent, that's what is being estimated by various analysts. We should be growing at 10 per cent over the current financial year."
Srinivasan also said the country’s two-wheeler market, which started off a bit sluggishly in the first half, has seen better momentum in the past few months and is likely to be up by about two per cent, where TVS has a market share of 14 per cent. “We expect the two-wheeler market to grow by about five-six per cent next financial year. With a couple of new models in the portfolio, including Victor and the to-be-rolled-out Apache 200 4V, we would be able to further consolidate our market share,” he explained.
