- TVS sells 2.99 lakh units in July
- Domestic sales grows by 15 per cent

TVS Motor Company has announced a 14 per cent overall growth in sales for July 2022. The Chennai-based manufacturer managed to sell 2.99 lakh motorcycles and scooters in India and overseas as compared to the 2.62 lakh units it registered in the same month last year.
Now, out of this total number, TVS’ sales in India contributed to 2.01 lakh units last month; a 15 per cent growth over July 2021 wherein the manufacturer managed to sell 1.75 lakh two-wheelers. Meanwhile, the exports grew by 12 per cent from 87,559 units in July last year to 97,716 units sold overseas last month.
That said, motorcycles witnessed an 8 per cent growth in sales. TVS registered a sale of 1.50 lakh motorcycles in July ’22 whereas it had sold 1.38 lakh units in the same month in 2021. Scooter sales, on the other hand, grew by a massive 49 per cent last month. TVS sold 1.10 lakh units as against the 73,811 units sold in July 2021. Just last month, the manufacturer also launched the Ronin 225, a a scrambler-style motorcycle that goes up against the Yamaha FZ-X and the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
