- Total sales grew by 31 per cent
- Two-wheeler sales witnessed 34 per cent growth
- Exports saw 43 per cent rise
TVS Motor Company has reported its sales data for January 2021. The Hosur-based two-wheeler brand witnessed a 31 per cent growth, registering 3,07,149 unit sales in January 2021 as against 2,34,920 units in the corresponding month last year.
The two-wheelers sales grew by 34 per cent, recording 2,94,596 unit sales in January 2021 as against 2,20,439 units in January 2020. The domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 26 per cent, rising from 1,63,007 units in January 2020 to 2,05,216 units in January 2021. Among two-wheelers, motorcycle sales grew by 45 per cent, recording 1,36,790 units in January 2021 as against 94,367 units in January 2020. The scooter sales grew by 36 per cent.
The exports, too, witnessed positive growth. The total exports grew by 43 percent registering 1,00,926 units in January 2021 as against 70,784 units in January 2020. Two-wheeler exports stood at 89,380 units in January 2021 as against 57,432 units in January 2020, thus registering a growth of 56 per cent.
