TVS Motors has registered a 37.9 per cent growth in its total two-wheeler sales with 2,47,630 units sold in the month of December 2017.
The manufacturer’s motorcycle sales grew by 63.7 per cent with 95,281 units sold in December last year. Scooter sales increased by 50.5 per cent with 83,640 units sold in December 2017 as compared to the 55,557 units in the same time in 2016. Exports contributed to a 52.7 per cent increase with 39,852 units sold last month.
TVS accredits its sales numbers to its highest-selling scooter, the Jupiter along with the entire Apache line-up which consists of the Apache RTR 160, RTR 180 and RTR 200 4V. December also proved to be an eventful month for the manufacturer as it launched its flagship motorcycle, the Apache RR 310. For 2018, we can expect TVS to launch a 125cc scooter which shares its design language with the Dare concept.
